Nearly

The end of the month has come and gone, so where is my finished project? I'm still working on it... but I'm nearly there! I've sewn a zipper and I just have to do the waistband. Then will come the moment of truth... trying it on...

In the meantime I've coated some cherry tomatoes in oil, garlic, oregano and a dash of salt and sugar and put them in my dehydrator. Dried tomatoes are my little wintertime treat for those sad days when I can't have them fresh.

Well, let's hope the sewing gods smile on me this weekend. I'll let you know soon!

  1. happy sewing, hope it all works out... re the dried tomato's, do you then bottle them in oil? i make passata every year but i'd love to have a go at 'sun' dried this year too to pull out in the miserable depths of winter x

    1. I just freeze them in a bag and defrost as needed! They don't take very long, or less if you run them under hot water.

  2. I enjoy reading your posts when we are under snow here in the upper midwest of USA....Your garden is very beautiful this year( as it was last year when I visited your site)! I am starting seedlings here in the midwest and planning where everything will go soon, I hope! :-) robbie

    1. Thanks Robbie, spring is not too far away for you now! Here the season is turning to autumn and I can tell the garden will be going to sleep before too long...
