October flowers

The bright days of spring are here. Freesias, ranunculus, azaleas and blossom provide fragrance and colour. It's joyful to pick a small posy for a vase which will then scent the hallway or kitchen. These beauties are fleeting so I enjoy them as fully as I can.

How is your garden on Garden Blogger's Bloom Day?

  1. Very pretty as always!
Battling strong winds up here, puts me off gardening :-)

    1. We've had a lot of wind too, one of the classic signs of Christchurch in spring/summer is the easterly and it can be chilly! But having spent all winter daydreaming of this time of year, I'm going to damn well get out there and do it anyway! Hope your weather eases up soon.

  2. So pretty. I was temporarily confused as I saw all the Spring blooms, then remembered where your garden is located. For our Zone 5b/6a, it’s time to pull out the sweaters and put the Lot to bed for the season. Thank you for sharing your garden blooms and Happy GBBD!

    1. Yes that's the great thing about the internet, you can experience (almost) all seasons at the same time! Mind you with our crazy weather at the moment, it's hard to tell what season it is.
